2. Features of PM-SYM: 
It is a voluntary and contributory pension scheme, under which the customer will receive the following benefits:

(i) Minimum Equivalent Pension: Each customer under PM-SYM will get a pension of at least 3000 / - per month after attaining the age of 60 years.

(ii) Family Pension: In the event of receipt of a pension, if the subscriber dies, the beneficiary's wife will be entitled to receive the family pension as 1% of the pension received by the beneficiary. Family pensions apply only to spouses.

(iii) & nbs; && BS; If a beneficiary has a regular contribution and has died for some reason (before the age of 60), his / her spouse will be entitled to join and continue the plan by paying regular contributions or exit the scheme as per the provisions.

The. Subscriber Contribution: Subscriber's contribution to PM-SYM will be made through 'Auto-debit' facility from his / her savings bank account / Jan-Dhan account. The consumer is required to allocate the amount of the proposed contribution from the age of joining PM-SYM to the age of 60 years. Unorganized workers can visit their Aadhar card and savings bank account passbook / generating account with their nearest CSC and register themselves for the scheme. Fac. Facilitation Centers: All LIC branch offices, ESIC / EPFO ​​offices and all labor offices of the Central and State Governments will facilitate unorganized workers about the planning, benefits and follow-up procedures at their respective centers.

1 All LICs, EPFOs / ESICs and all labor offices of the Central and State Government may establish a "facilitation desk" to facilitate unorganized workers, guide them to the facilities of the scheme and direct them to the nearest CSC.

LIC will be a pension fund manager and will be responsible for pension payments. The amount collected under the PM-SYM pension scheme will be invested according to the investment method specified by the Government of India.

PMSYM Registration

  • As of now, the applicant may visit the nearest CSC (Common Services Center) and submit the required details to get enrolled.
  • VLE will register the beneficiary electronically on the system.
  • A beneficiary has to pay 1st instalment in cash to CSC.
  • Now Shram Yogi Pension Number will be generated.
  • VLE will print & handover the Shram Yogi card to the beneficiary.
